90 SWB petrol 1984 front passenger wheel is leaking oil around the rubber axle hub cap. and there is a high pitch whirr from the wheel on driving.
Is the fix to remove the wheel and to look to change out the oil seal rings on the axle?

In answer to your actual question ron, no! That's not the fix, because you haven't identified the cause of any problems yet. The axle hub cap leaking is a very minor thing, in fact, it's just a dust cap really. You can fix the leaky dust cap by removing it, de-greasing it and the end of the cv splines, slapping loads of rtv sealant all over it, and around the cap, and then slapping it back on.

The next thing you should do is check on your swivel pin housing oil level, and change the oil really if you're not sure about it, then take it for a spin and see how it sounds :)
