Hi all, I’m a new Landy owner. I recently lucked my way into a pretty sweet 1986 90”. The RR and RF axles are leaking a bit around splines where the axle shaft comes out of the hub. I’m new to Rovers, so I’m still learning my way around how they’re put together. Is there a specific seal that causes this or should I just plan on tearing the whole Schmutz apart and re-sealing the whole thing and doing all 4 wheels while I’m at it? Thanks in advance.

If RR and RF means right rear and front, and your on original axles, then don’t worry, oil is meant to come all the way to the hub flange. The rubber hub caps stop the oil leaking out of the axle, chances are you need a new set of them ( buy genuine ).

The heavy duty drive members are quite good and they dont leak ever, not expensive either.
