Don't see why not. They don't usually leak in my experience is the thread fooked.

The threads seem fine.
Without the loctite 220 on them last time they wept a little.
Just wondering if PTFE tape would do the trick.

As the plugs are tapered just do the up a bit tighter. you could use a torque wrench to around 30Nm i think.

I torqued them up last time, when i needed the loctite.
I don't want to over tighten them, hence the question.
I'll do one and give it a whirl.

Changed the oil in them both today.
The oil that came out looked like treacle, and there was some thick gooey stuff stuck the the drain plugs.
No leaks as yet, so the PTFE looks like it's doing the job.
