Ordered 2 number 4s which I thought were the ones on the top of photo but got the bottom ones. The part number is correct but cant see how they fit in the hole, or am I missing something,? . Sorry if its Obvious. Same part numbers for front and rear axles

Not sure what you're asking but you can clean up the old ones or fit 1/8" BSP to 6mm pushfit air fittings .
 
The banjo is sold together with the plastic breather pipe (but i think you can get the bolt separately). Part number varies depending on year and whether front or rear - could be ftc2175, ftc2176, ftc2177 or ftc2178

The ones you have ordered look like the never type, as fitted to TD5 onwards (I think it was TD5 that changed to that type).

I have some spares from mine if you want them? They are the same type as @Flossie mentioned, 1/8BSP x 6mm push fit air pipes. I will be replacing all of mine, axles, gearbox, T box, and then extending the fuel tank, adding 2 to wading plugs and connecting them up, along with the FIP. Certain ones will be separate to the others, but the axles and boxes will be combined. They will all be clear, so any sign of a blockage or oil can be easily seen.
 
I replaced all of mine with push fits and new tube and linked them into a common manifold in the engine bay, then plumbed them into the snorkel (under the bonnet)

I have an 8 or 10 way manifold to mount on the bulkhead too. I’m not certain of exactly where it needs to go as I don’t have the heater matrix back in yet. It needs rebuilding and sealing properly anyway, so probably won’t get installed this weekend.
 
Thanks Very much Mick, I will see how I get on with them this weekend, Thought mine were totally knackered but they have cleaned up really well, so basically I'm only short of one of these in photo if you have a spare one, not sure what there called, then I could get some pipe. But was also looking at this kit seems cheap enough https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Land-Rover-Axle-Breather-Kit-Free-UK-P-P/223340034534 anyone used these before?

I have both of them still. Not sure if they are “clear” and pass air, but I’m sure a paper clip and small drill bit will clear them out. Your welcome to mine if you want them, once I have removed them?

Depends how skint or time poor you are really. Price up the 3 fittings and (?) Metres of tubeing and see what that comes to?
It isn't a rip off though and saves fannage I guess.

Cheers Mate, Let me know when they are ready. Just realised I'm thinking to far ahead as don't really need the full kit until the whole vehicle is built up but will use mine and the bits you've got to bung the holes up as I will be filling axles with oil soon.

I have kept my breathers “blocked up” with the old ones to save any ****e from falling in, so I wouldn’t say you are thinking too far ahead. I would sort all your fuel, brake, and breather lines before any sort of flooring goes into the build. I’m hoping to get the roof on mine tomorrow/Sunday, and then set door gaps. All of this is before any brake, fuel, or breathers are installed. I don’t want the risk of damaging one of them while trying to fit/align any parts, so leaving them until the body is sorted.

Will try and get it rolling Sunday, got a few fiddly bits to do before then, things Id forgotten about, like rear shock mounts need cleaning and painting before going back on. Got a Mate gonna put brake lines all round when Im ready for them.

I have started a list on my phone, I would advise you do one too.

I keep thinking “I need to do this, and don’t forget that”, then before I know it I had forgotten the start of the thought train that lead there. After reading my list of things to do, it’s huge, but it’s mostly small fiddly bits. So long as the list starts getting smaller, I will get there.
