Axle balls

I thought in your write up you wrote 14mm bihex.

If they are 10mm , which ones is the OP talking about?

No its the spanner which is 14mm ( refers to the distance across the flats of a bolt) the bolt shanks ate standard 10mm I ran a plug tap down the holes before fitting the new ones.

Yeah, I know they are 14mm bihex, I just wondered why you brought the 10mm in the conversation ,LOL.
I do not remember the thread diameter being asked, I will have to go back and re read the post.

For info, are they coarse or fine thread M10?

The bolt threads are 10 X 1.5 which I usually refer to as coarse, if you look at the brake caliper bolts they are fine .

I ended up having to cut the heads off a couple of these. You're then left with decent stumps to get some grip on. The vibrations from the angle grinder freed the treads up nicely.

The heat from grinding would help too, the bolts are treated with the blue locking compound and if you can get heat onto them it will help to break that down.
It makes life harder because you can't get a socket onto the bolts as the swivel ball fouls up the access, it's well worth spending some time cleaning the heads before attempting to get them out.

Sorry for the late reply, but the pins flew out, a couple rounded off, could anyone point me to a part number
