Any one had expieriance of Avon Ranger TSE tyres, they say 15% off road 85% on. which suits, and I can get 4 fitted for £306.

Looks like a decent enough road tyre. But if you take it in the mud, youll get stuck. If you take it on rocks, youll put a hole in it! Im sure it will do fine on the occasional lane though. There are loads of tyre reviews out there.
