Auxiliary belt problem

Yeah the indi garage I use have a guy there thinks he knows more than he does, yet saying that it was at main dealers in chesterfield twice and they did not find the problem , think the block that the pulley bolts to did not have a flat square surface so every time any one tightened the bolt it sat out of line , the pulleys and idlers were changed many times but as it was the block at fault it made no difference, the original pulley before the alternator was changed must have been shimmed up.

How much has all that cost you? As previously mentioned ,get a written report and start knocking on doors:mad::eek:

Make a note of the chap who worked it out from first principles rather than assuming what SHOULD be doing what. You'll want to be using gim again.

Not doubting their findings but it must have left the assembly line with a shim in it? :rolleyes:
