I have Disco 4 which has an auxiliary heater. I set the timer and each time it drain the battery to the extent it doesn't start and the clock resets to 0000hrs and the date to 01-09-2009 which is probably the manufacturing date of the vehicle. Any idea what maybe causing this?

Have you had the battery checked, to make sure it is in good condition?
Is the battery the correct specification for the vehicle.
Is the battery ever fully charged?

Cheers

So a battery test was carried out and the battery is working just fine. Something keeps draining the battery. For instance if I open/close the doors frequently the battery dies. Leave the lights on etc
