Hi Everyone

I have an 07 freelander 2 HSE Lux. Unfortunately the aux input isn't working, I've had the Jack replaced, circuits checked and the stereo pulled out to checked everything is connected but it still doesn't work.

There are some wires behind the stereo which have black tape around them but the guy that looked at it says it's hard to tell whether that was factory fitted or if it was tampered with. Everything apart from the aux works on the stereo as it should. When you switch the stereo to aux, plug your media in to the Jack and turn the volume all the way up, no sound comes out.

Has anyone had any similar issues with the aux not working at all? Can anyone help with any suggestions please?? I'm absolutely sick of listening to the radio and CDs.

Thank you :)

You could always replace the radio for a more modern head unit and enjoy wireless connectivity?

Oh, hello and welcome BTW :)

There is a vehicle specific forum for freelanders, best ask the fellahs in there ;)

Good idea, I have thought about doing this but thought I'd see if I could get the original repaired first. Theres quite a few radio upgrades out there. Is there any you'd recommend?

Thank you :) I'll give the freelander forums a shot.
