Automatic Braking Assistance

Increasing numbers of accidents being reported here in France due to the brakes being applied without driver intervention, sometime at high speed on the auto route leading to some bad accidents. I gues,s given the overall unreliability of vehicle electronics, this was bound to happen sooner or later.
The system is now mandatory on all new cars here. Another reason not to buy.

In management speak, the number of accidents due to human error, distracted drivers etc has decreased

Try using a BMW without indicating… them steering wheels have a mind iof there own.fun trying to ignore the movements

If some on comes down the slip road and pulls infront of you too close,dash board lights up with collision warnings & applies brakes.
Of course you can turn these off but they reapply after an engine off (still logs that the driver has over rode the system though))
