I have a 1985 4dr V8 Auto Range Rover in the West Indies, and the auto transmission is packing up. I cannot justify the expense of shipping out a new replacement.
Is there such a thing as an overhaul kit available? The mechanics out there are are pretty good at that sort of thing.
Alternatively, can anyone introduce me to someone reliable who can supply a second hand unit?
Another option may be to ship the transmission back to UK and get it reconditioned, but the round trip shipping costs may be too much.
I live in South West London.
