Auto Gearstick

Posted this back in March and nobody offered any advice : is it something I said ?
All still goes well except for a hole in the plastic. A chunk of plastic broke off the front( engine) side of the gearstick and has apparently gone down the gate : I hopefully assume it will fall out and I have no problems with gearchange .
Has anybody changed the gear stick ? Looked at Rave but diagrams show stick without plastic cowling. Can it be replaced separately or does the whole stick need replaced which looks like a minor pain?

if its just the surround where the gaiter clips into it can be replaced, go to local scrappy and remove one from there, that way you will know how to get yours off!!
