Auto gearbox oil change, bit sluggish at changing gear, so a change is on the cards, where is the filter located? also which is the best oil and how much does it take?

I did mine last year and I used Genuine LR stuff it was expensive but I figured that as you only do it every 90,000 miles ish then it was worth it...... 4 mths later she blow a cooling hose and dumped all that expensive oil all over the road, so I used cheaper Comma fluid to fill the box up again & I can say that I don't notice any difference in the box. hope this helps.

Comma ATF is only "cheep" in the price you pay for the stuff, it's still quality and meets the Dexron llD or lll spec just like all the other oil companies.
For a D1 the LR service schedule for replacing ATF in an auto box is every 24,000 miles.

That was my point, I will buy the Comma oil again :)

The assumption is that it's a TD5 auto as the thread is tagged "disco 2" and I am probably wrong about the service intervals, I always over service anyway.
