about the no acceleration(if that's what you mean by ecxelerater) and the warning lamps ..it seems very like a throttle position sensor failure... you can buy it just together with the pedal, used or new, part nr LR030567

about the oil leaks i have no ideea

I have priced a.Part up is it a fly bye cencer switch from main dealer today £60plus vat not bad rearly so I,ll try thatthanks again sierrafery shame your not near Nottingham I would have asked you to fit it lol, and payed you thanks again

you should have plugged in a tester before you order parts just to make sure, the symptom you described as i said "seems" to be the TP sensor, 100% certain would have been just with a proper diagnose... see the quote and the attachment(P1884-18) and you'll understand why i said what i said
RAVE - Engine management - Throttle position (TP) sensor said:
The TP sensor can fail the following ways or supply incorrect signal:
l Sensor open circuit.
l Short circuit to vehicle supply.
l Short circuit to vehicle earth.
l Water ingress.
l Sensor incorrectly fitted.
In the event of a TP sensor signal failure any of the following symptoms may be observed:
l Engine performance concern.
l Delayed throttle response.
l Failure of emission control.
If the TP sensor fails, the engine will only run at idle and the MIL will remain on until the fault is eliminated. Turning
the ignition off/on can reset the MIL provided that the fault has been rectified.

*** MIL = malfunction indicator/engine management light

You need to check your fluid level and then get the faults read and take it from there. I have had these with no drive and it has been an XYZ fault but as said don't guess, get the fault codes and work from there.

HELLO had someone round today he took battery off for 2 mins put battery back on and there we go everything is fine I,m taking the car to his garage Friday at 1.pm and its going on the computer thanks guys for your help will let you no what it found

hello all been to the garage today its been on computer and all clear been driving all over this afternoon and not missed a beat.

believe me, if the M & S and MIL warnings were on but no faults stored it's just the beginning of something bad... let's hope i'm wrong

I had the same problem, turns out (after weeks of frustration, threats to burn it, sleepless nights) that a person had pulled the xyz switch wires hard enough to break them, therefore giving a intermittent fault as they parted and re-touched:mad:

Wires can also rub on gearbox tunnel and short every time it rains !
