Hi everyone,
My (real) name is Damian. I've two lovely land rovers - a 2003 Disco II facelift and "the tank" - a 2004 110 Defender TD5.
Sod's law: I'm half-way through renovating the Fender - needs some body work, I've double-windowed side panels to fit, a TD5 engine with no hoses, two swivels to change and b*ll*cks, I had a stroke last year at the ripe old age of 43. :doh:No working on cars for a while. At least I changed that damn fuel pressure regulator on the Disco before it happened. Won't be doing jobs like that again soon.
Here's my question:
Can the Disco and Defender be converted to auto? Driving them again one day is my dream. My left arm is knackered, so no manual gear changes for a long, long time. The conversions won't be cheap but better that than buying a new, inferior car.
Anyone any experience of this?
Damian
