Hi. Does anyone know if the power steering pipes that go from the box to the cooler have pressure in them. One of mine is crushed and was hoping I could cut out and replace the crushed piece with rubber pipe and jubilee clips.

I wasn't aware that there was a cooler in the D2 power steering system, unless it was fitted aftermarket.

Sorry. To much bloody Guinness that night. I meant auto box pipes to cooler. One of the pipes which runs under the box is crushed slightly.

Working from the gearbox end it's a bit difficult to see which pipe is which, but at the cooler end the attached drawing does show which is the inlet and outlet making the pipes easier to identify.
Having said that, the system is essentially a closed system, therefore both the pressure and flow of fluid should be much the same with only the temperature being different. So a blockage caused by a pipe being crushed, even partially will reduce the flow, immaterial which pipe has suffered damage.
