Hi AWP
How's the new job going? Been looking back a few pages like the look of your Hi-Lift looks tactical.

It wasn't for me - two assaults in the first two weeks. the last one was punches, kicks, chairs thrown, etc. Walked there and then!:eek:

Complicated year really. Mum died after interview but before starting job. We moved dad down to us from Stoke so I'm his carer as he's in a bad way following a stroke two years ago. It's a difficult and frustrating situation but it's the only option. He looked after me as a kid so it's only fair to look after him in his dotage.

Sorry to hear that, Lost my mum a couple of years ago knock me for six. Its good to see you think more of your dad than to stick him in an old peoples home. Good on ya mate.

The one job that had always bugged me after the re-spray was the rubbing strips. Could never get them sitting level, etc, etc. So, new plan. Ordered some ali box section from Germany as it was the only place I could get that size. 1mm disc and a quick test later - not looking too bad.

Found a kindly soul, Malc Seward, through the Locks Heath Classic Car Club who was happy to weld the ends on for me. Plenty of filing and spray paint later and this is the end result.

A bit of suspension work. New OME springs all round. Radius arms blasted and re-painted. New galvanised spring seats and retainers. New Comfort Polybushes. General tidy up underneath.
