Hi, 2000 DSE, with Alpine head unit and high line HK stereo.

Im about to replace the head unit, should be easy.
I can see that the speakers can be simply wired off of the stereo and they will take care of themselves, in theory... I hope. Although the door tweeters may be a headache.

The issue i have is with the sub in the boot. On the head unit, this seems to utilise its own ISO'ish connector. Now on the new head unit, obviously this will not be the case.

Sooo, question, does the subwoofer take a normal feed from a RCA/ sub out inc switch wire etc. Or does some other thing need to be done....

Heeeeeeeelp, please....

Also, im putting in a chinese fantastic, so does anyone have any reviews and can anyone tell me the best place to put the GPS reciever and the DVB-t antennae etc..

Thanks in advance

Clarky130 knows the P38 Audio system very well - search for some of his posts on the matter - and I don't think it is as simple as a direct replacement of Head Unit on the HK System....

I will do, thanks for that.

Im fairly sure that the issues caused are with the Clarion headunit, certainly seems to read like that..

But, im sure as with most Range rover things, it wont be that simple.

Clarion do a repair service and will wire a jack plug in for I pod for £100 all in, I had mine done as it save all the hassle of buggering about with the wiring and buying a new head unit , and the car remains standard , they have an eBay page with address on etc
