Attempted theft Defender 90 TD5 Tatsfield Surrey

Limited information. I was approached by a fellow Defender owner in Westerham last Friday (8th march). He explained that his Defender 90 TD5 been damaged after a attempted theft earlier in the week from outside his property in Tatsfield Surrey. The scallywags had driven a sharply pointed object down between the window and seal on the drivers door bending the metal out above the door handle out. The vehicle is fitted with standard security only so an alarm and immobiliser. Police informed. After speaking about other security products available i told him about this site and asked him to post the details.( which appears not to have happened yet) I gave him a spare steering lock I had to help make sure it's stays where he left it.

Hoping the owner will join LW and advise if they thieves tried to disable the alarm before the attack on the door ... Would at least suggest then if they chancers or have a vague clue about what they were doing.

This makes me worried (even more so!) Seems like things are starting to happen down south more now?

Defo. I reckon their own patches are becoming too hot. They are probably being forced to move to pastures new while things settle down at home a bit.

I hope I never catch one of them having a go at mine or I may well end up either dead or in prison. Parasitic scum.
