I have a chance of a very good deal on a set of brand new General Grabber AT2's £212 for the 4:)
But a couple of guy's i have spoken to about them have said they will be far too noisy for me to use the disco on the road, will this be the case?
Mind you they should drive a diesel disco if they want to know about noise!!

I have AT2 on my Disco 2 and no particular noise till now, while good enough for both off-road and on-road driving.

I've got AT 2's on mine, I haven't noticed any more road noise than when I had HP Wranglers on. I've used them off road several times and, while not the most aggressive tyre, I found the T/C was activating a lot less than when I had the occasional "play" with the HP's on.
They look good too.

I don't think they've made much diff to the mpg. Just done a 376 mile round trip, from Dudley to Darlington and back, + 20 miles pottering around while we were up there and used a gnat's nadger over half a tank of doosul.

Worked it out to be 33.68 Mpg. I think that's pretty respectable, although, I did have the cruise control set to 56 Mph all the way.
More economical than my 20 year old Volvo.

I'd go for them, speshly at that price. The best price I could find when I got mine was £105.00 / tyre.

I would say EXACTLY the same about all three points for my Colway ATs and I think they have a pretty identical pattern to the AT2s

I going to get them, the price is the main factor sod the noise i have to have the CD player a full blast anyway to drown out the rattle that i get from the dashboard! lol.
Just my luck they are on "back order" what ever that actually means!

thanks for the comments lads

they are a really good tyre... got em on my TD5. a bit more noisey than the scorpions I used to have on there but worth every dB for the extra off road grip..! I've had em on there for over a year now and they're not really showing any signs of wear.
