Well I've finally got my items back , and to be fair, they are pretty good. Shame I had such bad customer service as the end product is good. It's not like new, but then I didn't pay the 3k for a new one, so can't complain, should be good for another 30 plus years if looked after

It's a real shame to see all the negative feedback on here about Ashtree.... I first came across them about 7/8 years ago when I purchased a bulkhead from them and have used them for lots of bits since, including replacement tub cappings and a bespoke galvanising of my Rad panel.... always found them to provide excellent product and very personal service (yes things can be a bit slow sometimes - especially when they spend quite a bit of time away from the yard) but I would highly recommend them and if you're in the area of Southampton its always worth a visit.. they tend to do things better face to face and on a handshake rather than online!

Yes they seem to do good work, unfortunatly you can't treat customers poorly and expect to get excellent reviews, nomatter how good a job you do .
Personally, I will require more galvanised panels in future and will not be using them again .

....Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to justify the service that you appear to have had...just giving my own experience of them and saying that it's disappointing to see that their customer service appears to have slipped from what was previously very good service when I have used them in the past :(

Yes, it's a shame, Im all for supporting any small company helping to keep land rovers on the road . But , although the product was good, the experience I had was shocking. Let's hope it was just a one off .

I bought a refurbished galv chassis from Ashtree several years ago as part of a re-build. It was delivered when they said they would and I was happy, but customer service is everything.
I've used a local garage for my Land Rovers for years with no complaints, but a senior bloke left and the last 6 months they have been a disaster. It doesn't take much in a small firm for things to go badly wrong. Also agree people take on too much and that doesn't pay off in the long run. John

Well I'm glad you got it back

So this is what a series 3 bulkhead looks like eh?

Very different to the series 2/2a (and probably not as complicated).

Have you been spraying self etch primer yet?

I'll be interested to see the surface finish when painted

I'm surprised their still trading, using Wessex Galvanising has caused them major problems recently, but apparently turnaround has improved. Communication is really poor
and Galvanising quality is not great, last job took 8 months to sort, hope they manage to improve.
