Hi everyone

I'm having issues with the ashtrays In my freelander the rear one was locked in solid the other day when i was trying to work on the handbrake cables, the front one I had issues with today trying to get at my loose change for a car wash.

The springs at the rear of the trays keeps dislodging causing them to jam closed it a real pain

Any one else had this issue and how did you cure it I don't want to just remove the springs as the trays will rattle around

My rear one is half busted. I think due to the spring issue and some one being heavy handed in the past. I leave the lid open as I have a nonsmoking policy in my car and it looks better than half wedged at the angle.

Mines locked open. It's ok because I'm normally looking out the windscreen I don't notice it

Of all the noted issues with the freelander, this has to rate as one of the weirdest.

Hahahah yeah it does but it's a real pain as I always keep parking change and stuff in them the rear one is no problem but the front I.hate not working

That's epic make sure that you pack enough provisions for your journey, spare fuel, food, water, emergency flares for signalling rescue teams.... Actually big question time now..... How do you keep the bean sprouts from going bad on your return journey. Refrigerated trailer?

I've addressed that issue; I have about four pounds of mung beans in the cupboard to convert into beansprouts.
Problem is, I haven't worked out how to do it without ending up with a mass of blue fluff :)
