Fitted a bunch of gauges to the old chap - 200tdi defender 90... are these correct?

Oil pressure - 25 - 30 PSI at idle and 40-45 whilst driving.

Temp - 65-70 all the time

Rev - 700 at idle, 1500-2000 whilst driving, max 3000

Turbo boost - max 0.8 bar

Thanks chaps. What's the best way to check the revs apart from a strobe at idle and how do you double check the oil pressure?

Temp sounds quite low.
I don't know what thermostat you have fitted but unless it is the hot climate one (operates at 76degrees I believe) then it will never be opening. Even in the coldest of climates the engine should reach normal operating temperature at which point the thermostat will be opening & closing all the time, if the gauge is correct then I would say that yours is never opening which I could understand if your journeys were never more than about 4-5 miles but any longer then something is amiss.

Or is the stat stuck open? On my race bikes it was common practice to remove the status and on cool days tape the radiator to get the temp up if it wasn't heating up

Temp defo low, i have a capilliary set up on mine, and its mid 80s all the time unless engine is doing nothing and its dead of winter in which case it will drop to 77 degc.
Forget revs when it wont rev anymore just change up a gear, it really is that simple.
