are the fold down tables rare ?

hi all, i have wood folding picnic tables in my 1996 dse they are on the back of my front 2 seats, are they quite rare ? because after a while searching mainly on ebay i have yet to see another rr with them fitted.

I have heard of people paying silly money for the wooden tables...................................

no, they are worth nothing, ignore the others. I would like to offer you 99p for them, this is the most you will get, please send them to me ASAP

...but yes, like the others say, they are stupid money. I watched a set on eBay once and they sold for £400. They do crop up from time to time but they just really do cost a bomb.

As much as I would love to have them in my P38 I don't think I want to pay £200 a side - not only that it encourages food and drink in the vehicle which is a BAD idea.

is that £400 just for the tables or does that include the seats ?

i watched a set a few weeks back and they went for around 200 quid and they was damaged and had the fixing plate missing.

yes they do go for a small fortune just like the half wood and half leather steering wheels, does anyone have these ive seen them go for nere 400 aswell

did these tables come as an option on all/most range rovers or only special editions or top spec models ?
if the latter i think someone must of fit the seats after they bought the car.

these are still available from land rover for the very reasonable price of £1600 plus vat. you can see why these were not fitted to many P38 from new. LOL

i think the correct term is rare as rocking horse sh*t

if u look on ebay at completed listing there was a set on there for 250 buy it now and they did not sell

at £1600 they will be rare !
i cant understand why anybody would pay that.

i saw them picnic tables on ebay for £250 they were scuffed,scratched and marked with the backing plates missing and he stopped the listing because he had sold them outside of ebay !

I had a good deal from a guy at work, he was selling his P38 and offered me a set of new tyres, a set of front fog lights, roof rack, boot liner (the solid plastic one) a full set of covers for the seats etc (all new and unused) 4 sets of original Landy parts brakes pads for the front and back, and a few other odds and ends, all for £250 i nearly took his hand off!! just the roof rack will sell for more than that, i just sold the front fog lights and got back more than i paid him, i didn't need them (i have a DSE) but kept the rest of the stuff
