Are Kingpin tyres as rubbish as they used to be?

Need a set of tyres for the other vehicle...the vehicle won't see much in the way of mud, only occasional rough stuff so an AT tread will do...but are Kingpin as bad as they used to be? Or am I better off paying a bit more for a decent brand?

Kingpin muds on mine 'cos I got them cheap. Been on 6 months, perform well, liked the snow. Ive no worries with them.

We had Kingpins on our series 3, about 8 years ago, and for the price they were great .. mind, at the time I think we only paid about £30/£35 each corner for them ..

I've had KP's on my 110 for a couple of years - v good in snow - not bad in mud but I'd keep away from rocks as the sidewalls are a touch on the thin side. I'm replacing mine due to them perishing - I'd buy them again but can't find any suppliers - are they still made ?

Kingpin are still around I had considered getting a set myself until I got my Saharas.

It's too far for you to come but Union Tyres at Selby, Yorkshire supplied mine.

try Kingpin Tyres 4x4 tyres Cheap car tyres - suppliers of Kingpin Kumho and Insa Turbo tyres throughout the UK, Wales, Scotland thats where I found them.
