I've been stocking up on P38 bits recently and have been in 2 minds whether to add arch spats to my car..

This is a Blitz blue HSE Some models were fitted with the country pack.

which did include the arch spats and side steps as a package you could get.

NOTE THE POLL IS JUST SIDE STEPS, Oops JUST PRES Yes OR NO for both spats and side steps cheers.

Shall i?

Or shouldn't I even think about it?

I am a fan of them, but mostly because the'd hide the rust repair I did on my rear arches. Unfortunately I refuse to pay the 300+ they are charging for them on eBay.

I think the P38 looks better without, but thats just me, each to their own, as they say.

Some of the DTs have cheap plastic spats and runner bits - they are the bits that rot like *ook. Bagshot’s old one prime example.

My P38 is too high and does need steps, tree bars or nothing for mine, don’t like the rubber ones. (Is an off-roader though). They would probably look okay on yours but I don’t know if it would look better than it is now.

Do you ‘need’ them to get in, or just ‘want’?

At 6'1 i don't "need them" but they "in two minds" complement the exterior, dunno though grrrrr. ;)

Nope to the arches yes to steps, I think the wheels on the dark RR would look superb on yours.

You’re growing quick boy ;)
If you don’t need them particularly (as yours goes up and down :p) I would invest the money/time into the bits you do need (list on your thread for example) for now. If a great offer comes up grab em

Think @Dopey had a good set cheap, they were Chinese not LR but good ones apparently, Brian has the old ones.
