AR bar linkage nut size.

Right guys. It appears the large stud on my new AR bar linkage doesn't like the nuts i've bought. These are M12 and looked like they'd fit, but about quarter way on they get really tight and forcing them would cause the stud to thread.

I've found a nut that does fit, but i can't use it as it belongs to something else and just wouldn't be suitable anyway but in terms of thread, the fit is perfect. My problem is, what size is this nut???

It's got the marking H on one side, and then H17 on the other and googling these markings come up with nothing.

Anyone got any ideas of what nut size would best suit my stud? lol

No info on 'RAVE' re nut size. In these situations I find a visit to my local small garage brings a result. They always have a box full of nuts,bolts etc lying around salvaged from previous jobs. Take a link along and you may find a match.

either that or take the link to a local industrial hardware supplier - do you have a branch of Bapp near you? They are very helpful in finding me replacement nuts and bolts when i have to cut the originals as they rust solid....:doh:

try a m12 fine thread, might get luckyt with it

What is the diameter of the thread, and the pitch ?

found some nuts finally at a local parts place. Still don't know what size they are but they fit and i've got one side fitted today. I've no idea about thread pitch/diameter and all that but the thread looked pretty fine.
