Hi everyone,
After many years of yearning for a defender I'm finally seriously looking for one to buy.
I want a defender partly because I just love them, partly because I want something I can work on myself and partly because I want something that will handle winter road conditions and enable me to make myself useful from time to time.
Based on what I have gleaned from a lot of lurking and searching on these forums, I am planning to get a 200Tdi 90.
I'm making myself a checklist of things to look at when considering vehicles (rust is already at the top!) so hopefully I won't be completely at the mercy of sellers.
Many thanks to all the members here who have posted all the useful info I have been reading - it is much appreciated.
