Many moons ago (early sixties) spent the weekend with some mates at another mates near the Elephant and Castle. Hales buildings i believe IIRC. You would have been amazed at the number of parked cars that had been stripped with the bonnets and boots open sat on bricks with no wheels there were around. Yeah it was like Beirut. We were all totally taken aback, different world to ours up north.
That's why I try not to spend too much time out of Yorkshire ;)

i know some parts have there moments but generally it's grand :)

Given your location I'm surprised you could tell the difference. :p

Nowt wrong with Yorkshire, old grandma was a Yorkshire lass. Maybe Yorks and Lancs should join up and beat some bloody sense into the rest of em. :D:D:D

Nowt wrong with Preston back then. Now that it has become in some areas an Islamic republic along with a few other northern towns it has dipped markedly. :D:D

Can you not take over in Burnley as well? It's a bloody embarrassment to us. Or tow it to somewhere else where they all have six fingers and twelve toes. Like Somerset or Devon. :D:D:D

:pound:

there a couple of grumpy old gits in that area (LZ'ers) that would appreciate the sentiment ;)

It is beautiful up there and i've spent lots of time there.

it's littered with geordies though :p

Isn't it just. I have organised a genocide a few times, but then we remembered who would empty the bins if we got rid of them all? :D

was out this morning and came across this as i was going over the moors near home .

rick.

Yet another sport owner realises, too late, they really should have bought a real range rover (be it classic, P38 or L322) :D
