Anyone used landranger in stockport for repaires.

well i have been trying to solve a couple of water leaks over the past couple of weeks, but as fast as i cure one another starts later, it all started with one of my heater hoses leaking when the cooling system was cold but stoped as the coolant got hotter, anyway replaced both heater hoses toped the coolant up with the right antifreeze and water and bled system, no probs even drove 250 miles to angelesy and back with no probs ( checked everything when we got back home with no probs, then the following weekend whilst i was driving i got a wiff of antifreeze so stopped and had a look under the bonnet and found coolant all over the top hose area of the engine, so turned round and drove home about 8 mile round trip, checked under the bonnet wiped everything down with a rag and found the blead screw leaking, replaced the top hose refilled the system and rebled, everything seemed to be ok then a couple of days later i found coolant coming out from the header tank cap, had a good look at the cap and the o ring seals looked flat so i replaced the cap with a britpart one but still had coolant coming from the cap then whilst unscrewing the cap to have a look at the cap the center of the cap stayed in the header tank and the outer part of the cap was in my hand, so today i refitted the old cap drove to L R in stockport for a new cap but they didn't have any so then drove to land ranger about 1 1/2 miles away from L R but the only had a britpart one so i bought it as i needed one and asked him whilst i was there how much to have the car checked out first and he said £50 but it mite not show anything up so i then asked him how much to have the head gasket done inc having the head tested and skimmed and he said about £600 so if i need this doing is that a good price.

I use their other branch in Atherton alot, they are very good there especially at more complex issues, however there is a 2 week waiting list.

But if its cooling/head gaket issues i can give you plenty of garages who will do a proper check/job in the area, alot cheaper than £600, (to have a head tested and skimmed is only £55 at a place in trafford park, obviously providing its removed etc)

Where about in Manchester are you?
