Agreed. Either it's so noticable that they should be a fail, or its one of those testers that makes sure cars of a certain age have advisories. Makes it look like he's doing his job properlyAn mot tester cant test for that so some ones talking bollocks

I was agreeing with you that someone is talking bollocks.I dont agree because mot testers dont have the facility to do it nor do they do it any ways as part of a test
Bit more than "slight"
I was agreeing with you that someone is talking bollocks.
@yelnats69 does it show on the .gov site or is it just what the seller told you?
It shows on the Gov site
"Slightly distorted" sounds more like an advisory on tyres than rims

I was not thereAnd how exactly did it mot tester test that ?
Many years ago I owned a test station, I have examined the wheels and can't see anything wrong with them or the tyres.Wammers sold his plane, I wouldn’t sell those wheels on if you believe them to be dangerous.
By kerbing more than likely, then filled and not flattened properly then painted with a tar brush.
If the inner runs true and the outer varies that will be the problem.![]()
I had the brake pipe grease contamination one, cleaned them off and sprayed them up over rear axle, was no leaks just corrosion. tester was happy and no more advisory.
Unfortunately at my age my days of crawling over, under are can't help where the grease comes from, I would have thought that would have acted as a preservative
