Dispute it, tell them you will report it to the DVLA and then just go to someone who know what they are doing

Agreed. Either it's so noticable that they should be a fail, or its one of those testers that makes sure cars of a certain age have advisories. Makes it look like he's doing his job properly

I dont agree because mot testers dont have the facility to do it nor do they do it any ways as part of a test

I was agreeing with you that someone is talking bollocks.
@yelnats69 does it show on the .gov site or is it just what the seller told you?
It shows on the Gov site
"Slightly distorted" sounds more like an advisory on tyres than rims

It's listed on the Gov MOT history, along with an oil leak, that I can't find or see any spots on the floor or tell tale signs, also a rear brake pipe quoted as corroded covered in grease or other material, and a rear lower suspension bush, all listed as slight

Unfortunately at my age my days of crawling over, under are can't help where the grease comes from, I would have thought that would have acted as a preservative

You and i both my friend. If it has been kerbed and badly repaired it should be fine as long as the rim is not cracked under the repair.

Not sure if this is the right place but need to add closure to the wheel enquiry.
I had them checked at indy and they were perfect did not even need balance weights.
Now have a spare set for sale. So much for the MOT ADVISORY.
