anyone know whats causing this ?

Hi all
my new 120k mile 1996 300 tdi Disco. Have read the P gasket sticky and done a search but before I weekend-strip it (its a working truck) I could do with some guidance as to whether this is what a leaky P gasket looks like, or a water pump, or what?

p gasket seals the water gallery to water pump .alternator housing,where your top pic arrow points ,check pipes above water pump but most likely p gasket

i think everything above there that i can see looks dry, couldnt really see any dampness

most probably p gasket leaking from underneath where ou cant see.
will try to find my stripped pictures.

P gasket all fitted with thanks for the excellent sticky.
Serpentine belt (which looked excellent) squealing like nothing on earth though, will rectify tomorrow hopefully.

Water pump fitted today, was squealing terribly. No signs of wear when i had it off the car, but fitted, with the pulley on, quite a bit of play.

Tensioner pulley now wailiing
It'll have to keep wailing at £120 too.
