Anyone Know What These Are For?

Hi guys,

Might be a stupid question but i have found these 2 plugs on the throttle housing and aint got a clue what there for any ideas?

Ones blue and one black both female connections

On cars with an autobox the inj pump is electronically controlled - the plugs are likely to be for that.

Not all autos are electronically controlled...and I am sure I can see a normal mechanical throttle cable in the pics. There is no sign of a throttle postion sensor for the EGR, so it could be the left over wire for that..although why someone would remove the position sensor I don't know.

Some later 300TDIs had some extra wires to the fuel stop solonoid, something to do with the immobiliser

I obviously didn't make myself clear. This is a 1998 car, in '98 autobox cars were EDC, so these plugs were used for that. I wasn't implying that THIS car was auto, merely that the loom in place was sufficient for autos as well.

Incidently, on EDC cars there was no EGR valve electric connector.
