Anyone know a good Landy club to join.....

Had a few Range Rover Classics now, n still have 3 on the drive....
I remembered last year approaching the hut/caravan of a stand for a certain club dedicated to the name at last years Stoneleigh show, n to be honest the impression I got from a couple of people manning it wasn't that great. I don't see myself sitting on a camping chair at a show next to an over polished Landy (Have been to enough AutoItalia shows in a former life to be sick of that)....

I don't really have alliegence to RRC, its just the way ownership has gone for me.
Daily driver is a nice, but not mint RRC which I don't think has ever been off the tarmac, and I have a bobtailed RRC for weekend playing at offroading.

Northwest /Lancashire, or National club with an active Northwest region...


Anyone got any recommendations?:confused: ...(other than Landyzone of course?!)
 
There is a club in Cheshire for Land Rovers, sure if you Google it you'll find a contact, also there is the North Wales Land Rover Club, which from Manchester is close enough to travel. The NWLRC have their own web page, go take a gander. :)

My query was also about asking if anyone on here is a member of one near to me and/or what their experiences n thoughts, cos I'm sure some of them aren't that inviting or open to newbees, maybe? (just thinking from experience of some of the Italian car based clubs I have some experiences of...tho maybe LR owners are a friendlier breed???!)

Having been ballast / mechanic to a Freelander owner for a few weeks now I'd not describe land rover owners as friendly, not friendly, not as such...

Helpful, knowledgeable, informative, enthusiastic, supportive yes, definitely, but friendly??? hmmm, :D :D
 
I don't take part in trials with the North Wales club, however I do go and watch and take pictures, and as for friendly yes they are when they see you around at different locations. :)

:D Or, I could comment on how much betterererer Fls are compared to 'real' Land Rovers; reliability, comfort, economy exceterererer


:eek: but then you'd go read my other posts and find out I'm telling fibs with regards to the reliability bit, well, as far as the wife's goes anyway ;) :D

I'm trying to work out two things at the minute: -

1. How to justify having two four wheel drives in the family
2. Which one will both work well off road, and provide the comfort and reliability I've got used to in my Rover 75.... :confused:
