Anyone in South Yorkshire?

Went to a place between Mexborough and Conisborough the other day. It's a large muddy offroad track that clearly gets used by 4x4s a lot. It's next to the earth centre if that helps anyone at all?
Anyone here know the score with that place if we can just drive on or do we need some land owners permission?

It is a offence to drive on any land not forming part of a public highway without the expressed consent of the landowner. Note the use of the word "expressed consent" This prevents you from using the fact that someone else has permission to drive there, thus making it ok for you to do so as well. It also means that each time you enter the land the landowner must have stated that it was ok for you to do so. If you do not have the landowners express consent you are committing an offence.

Thought as much, does anyone know who this belongs to then?

Sth Yorkshire it'll be coal board or British steel. They own the whole county don't they??

Me mother in law lives in sth yorks so tend to steer clear of the place whenever possible

Dont mean to drag up an old thread, but the earth center has shut down, and as far as i know all the land connected to it, was owned but not used by the earth center.
Ill ask about for you, I know a fair rew people over that way. Im From Rossington which is 10-15 mile from there.

south yorks you must try / play at fricley4x4 have a look on google, you can play really hard or soft as you like ,its all skills/ levels recomended for fun day and they have tractor to pull you out if things go wrong be warned old clothes and best off road tyres ,

I'm in the same area. More sheffield than chesterfield. You probably know the place, Killamarsh. You round eckington area or over the other side?

Off to Frickley this sunday. First time in this 90 in some real rough stuff. Don't think I'll be going like a bat out of hell as it's never been off road before. Have to get a feel for her and if she's ok, I'll give her some abuse... then pay for it all week in the garage
