Hey!

Just collected some 80x40mm box and 1 1/2" tube to get a few sets of tree sliders fabbed up for the Disco and a mates.

Looking for a few close up shots of how yours mount. The sets I've looked at in person mount to the outriggers which I think will be the best idea as they'll be fully jackable and can be used to pull out sideways etc...

I don't like the idea of sill mounted ones as I am replacing my sills back to how they should be and I don't want to drill any holes in them!

I am thinking of 6mm plate brackets from the outriggers then welded straight onto the tree slider to remove any weak links with bolts and additional brackets etc.

Thanks! :pop2:

Once my sills are tided a bit I intend to weldsome angle between the slider and the sill.

These sliders used the original brackets from the side steps.

Ah yes, Nick I forgot yours were mounted like this. Next time I see you I'll steal a few measurements :D

I've ordered a sheet of 6mm steel as I'll be doing a tank guard at some point too. The plan is to make some 6mm brackets like the original side step ones but a lot stronger then mount off just like a side step, avoiding drilling the sills ;)

Will keep this thread as a mini project thread.

If yu want to strengthen the sills, just weld tubes thru the bolt holes, or if yu really want to go to town weld washers on the ends of the tubes and then weld them to the sills. That reduces the crushing effect on the sills.
