Ok heres my question.........i have just recently bought a 2003 range rover vogue and had it converted to LPG.......I have done about 300 faultless miles in it since i bought it 3 weeks
ago .........however ....yesterday i went to southend without a hitch then on the way home i came back through dartfor tunnel,i stopped to go through the barrier and when it lifted i put my foot on the throttle and had no power :( i can only describe it as like pulling away in 3rd gear or driving with the handbrake on  at high speeds it was ok but everytime i stopped it did the same thing,i have been out in it today and everything is working ok again .........any thoughts on what this could be?

I did try running it on petrol instead of the LPG but it was just the same.

your first mistake was to go to southend!!!:D
It sounds like some fuel supply issue.is it single or multi point LPG?

It is the latest multi point prinz system..........i had the same problem when i changed back to petrol and today it is running fine on both fuels.

I don't know whether the L322 is the same as the P38 but if you have a gearbox fault it will go into 'limp home' mode, it will also do the same if there is fault somewhere in the engine and the ECU defaults to pre-set values.

Did you get any warnings or faults show??

-Wills :)

Nothing showed up on the dashboard..........up untill that moment it was driving perfectly and when i got the speed up to 40ish if continued to drive spot-on and today it is working 100% again.............you know when you put it into drive it sort of grabs .........well when i was putting it into drive it never grabbed,it was as if i was pulling away in a higher gear.

Could it be the brakes had 'stuck' on, did you smell any burning.

No i can't recall any burning smell.......so far as no one seems to have experienced the same thing i am hoping it is just a "one off" i am out in it today doing a 150 mile round trip so i'll see how it goes.
