Poly bushes are good at being bushes and last pretty much forever. They can transfer more road noise into the cabin though.
 
...and are not suitable for all bush applications, such as the big rear subframe bushes on VWs. They don't rotate enough so the inner metal bush grinds the poly bush part until there is movement of the wrong kind.Ok for wishbones and diff mounts though! ;)
