Anyone ever used these tyres?

Ive wondered about maxxis mudzilla in a 37 x 13.5 last couple of days, comes uo just under 37 but cant seem to find any comparisons for them against simex/insa turbo, malatesta

My pal has just bought some 37" maxxis trepadors but the only measure 35.5 new will let you know how they go, another lad had 37" mudzilla and they just floated and went clogged with mud,

Anyone taken the plunge and tried the Waystone yet?
Someone on d44 was talking about them, but not wanting to be the first, I went and bought a second hand set of simex

Only thing I'd say about that is from an experience when we went down to Salisbury.

WLM in his Disco with 37" Mudzillas, me in my Defender with 235 85 Malatestas. One very rocky and slippery hill I got up, with only centre diff lock in as I don't have axle lockers. WLM couldn't get up, and he had a locker in the rear at least.

OTOH, in deep mud he 'floated' through where mine cut down but couldn't reach bottom so got stuck .. If mine had been larger I reckon I'd have cleaned everything, I think. All those in the group with larger Fedimas and Silverstones got through the hill and the mud and water too.

Really helpful feedback that, thanks.

It's frustrating there's such a lack of options around this size. I just want some aggressive that actually measures up 35" and doesn't require to me to remortgage the house to buy! (Simex)

If your waning then for show the the 37 mudzillas look good but the trepadors look even better

Nah I want the performance. I was looking at mudzillas originally, but I think tall and not so wide will be better for the site I use most. Simex style 35x11.50r16 would be my preferred choice.

I have 35 x 12.5 inch trepadors which measure 34.4 inch on the pallet before fitting, probably slightly taller once full :)

Yeh I would have them in a heartbeat, just can't swallow the cost :(

I guess I just need to accept a smaller tyre or shut up and save up!

Could always try what I'm running mate? Only £125 per tyre from 4x4 tyres. :)

I know they are only 33's (255/85/16's BF Goodrich M/T's) but nice and thin and only seem to struggle in the real deep stuff.

Ideally my next set I want something like this but with a more aggressive tread pattern.

I have just gone from 265/75/16 to 35/10.5/16 and now hit the tub and that's not at full twist so something eles to sort now, I'm towing tonight and of my 90 struggles to pull with that soze on I might go down a size

Yeh yours do much better that I would have thought actually, but not much to gain over mine, same size pretty much and no more aggressive. I'm still dead impressed with my hankooks, it's just my ambitions have outgrown them a bit :D

Much difference width wise?

Good to know that size, sounds about right .. only 2 1/2" taller than the 235's, but it makes a helluva difference when the gloop is underneath!

;)

Anyone tried or measured Ziarelli Extreme Forest in 255/85?

I was almost settled on 285/75 Feds but was thinking, as the simex pattern remoulds tend to be a bit oversize, the 255/85 might be a fair chunk over 33". This pic next to the fed that meaures over 36" inch I believe (?) looks quite promising?

Like the pic .. I'd rather see them on a rim and blown up to say 24 psi, a compromise pressure for on and off road for those of us who don't often air down.

Now I've got to decide between buying 2 new BF Goodrich M/T's or a whole set of Ziarellis...... :(
