Anyone done this to their 300tdi ?

Back box fell off the disco
Can,t say i notice a difference without it
Made me wonder some exhausts do away with middle box keeping rear box saying that they improve power
before i buy exhaust is it worth doing or is better keeping standard system.
Might fit myself do you think taking the old system off might be a b*gger

you might have a problem with the emissions test on your MOT. Seeing as you got a diesel any way

A silencer doesn't cut down emissions only noise.

You can get rid of a lot of the junk on the exhaust and just put a single big bore silencer on, works well.

Ain't that a true fact ?

The turbo takes out a whole lot of badness from the exhaust gases and recycles quite a lot the recovered energy to drive the compressor impeller.

TEMPERATURE , PRESSURE, VELOCITY, SOUND, all markedly reduced by the turbo.

Its what i have been told anyway

I had the same problem with my 300 tdi, no discernable difference to either power or noise.

On the other hand I have a new noise just started from the front starts about 2500 rpm and is only apparent under load. Any ideas??

my 7yr old told me about 2 month ago that i had no exhaust, so as you do just said ok whatever and took no notice of him. last week when i went to put new mud flaps on discovered he was'nt taking the ****, got one put on £140!! had to get middle box aswell because of where it joined, could have got one for £80 but it ment dropping the axle to fit it. but all in all i never noticed any change when it dropped off and no change with a new one on, so if i was you i wouldnt wast your money!!! just see what happens when its mot time.

Is it turbo whistle?

No it is not the turbo whine, that is still audible separatly.
