if you modify a tdci will it work?also what are the insurance penalties for modded exhaust?...

Have spoken with five tuning a few times on modding tdci's and they have done and had no problems usually a remap in conjunction to exhaust mods is preferable as to the insurence 'pass'

defo check before yam commit.

Also with the egg sauce, if it takes the same routing as a TD5 you can do what i did and take out all the boxes and get a rear section that exits under the rear wheel arch.

Side exits that exit in front of the wheel look ****.

Side exit tail pipe for Defender Td5 90

;)ere poppy..like this is best for me.neat and tidy,no back box and above all tyre clearance...;)

i cut out the chequer plate out with a 2D water jet cut but that was free lol...

it can be done D.I Y with a hole saw...:)

i made the section of pipe from mid section OE to out rear tub with a disco 200 tdi down pipe that i cut on the bend and turned 180 degrees then re welded...

the bracket i made is a pipe clamp bodge that still works over a year later..I think ye whole lot cost me 40 quids..:D:D:D:D:D

most said why you done that all you acheived is a few inches?...

it meant i could replace the rear xmember and fit arch liners made from door mats to protect the rear chassis from damage.it also ment i had a 20 quid pipe section not way more for silencer etc.:D

you can be economic with rovers but it takes observation lol...;)

fuk the peps you pay use the local farm mechanic for notes.

I think it will be the lack of back pressure that will give you issues if you take all the baffles etc out. Only problem is that it will sound like a fart in a kazoo if you dont take it all out.
