Anyone bought one of these key fob's? (Ebay)?

Just wondering if anyone's had experience buying one of these fob's. I would be getting the 315MHZ version.

Wanting to make sure it's ok before I hand over my hard earned cash....

You will need that one coding of are you swapping your chip? If you are there are cheaper shells on there

Thanks. I've only got one key, so it would be the spare. One of the garages here has said they can code it for me.

Anyone with a nanocom can do it if you run into problems

Ok, so I got the key fob and a spare case for the worn original.

Took it down to the local garage with an autologic. They'd never done one before and the guy doing it didn't exactly have the best English...

Anyway I ended up doing it myself - it took all of about 5mins and they still charged me £25 for the pleasure.

So job done and it all works great.

I have recased a D2 keys few with new cases off Ebay and the main thing I noticed was that the key fitment stuck out a little. But apart from that they were not that much different to orignal.

These were repairs not whole keys

I too have had one of these keys off E Bay and found no problem with it.
The only problem I had was that the solder had come away from the circuit board inside. I got my trusty old tool out and fluxed it up and in no time all working again.
I hope that this helps out as it is not always the key that goes but the circuit board.
Got me a spare key top now.
