Anybody know where I can get a 200tdi Defender Water pump pulley?

Hi all

As in the title really, I've been looking everywhere for one, can't find my old one from when I rebuilt the engine. Tried the one of my dads old TD but it's just a bit too small so a normal belt is right on the edge of adjustment on the alternator.

Any help is appreciated, Cheers

Pop into halfrauds and buy a shorter belt?

Yeah that's my plan B if I can't get hold of one :(

you could google etc4785, but it was fitted to td as well

Yeah did that and found they're about £150  quite expensive if it's not right, plus as you say it's meant for a TD too which baffles me. The thing is, non of the Defender's my dad fixes are Defender 200tdi's, they're either Disco 200tdi's or 300tdi's so I've got nothing to compare to, Don't suppose anybody could measure their own pump from the bottom of the groove could they? :p

they were fitted to turbo diesels as well as 200tdis ,discos are different, but it widens your search

Cheers James, Yeah found that the disco one has less offset, but what's weird is that when I search for 200tdi's the pump pulley appears to have a 'squared' edge, whereas the one off my dad has a more rounded edge, my dad's CSW was a N/A initially so I'm not sure if this has come off this. I'll check my local recycling place as the fellow there does a lot with land rovers, he might have one knocking around, that's the trouble with a desirable engine, nobody gets rid of the parts for them

Cheers again for you help
