Are you using the nozzle on full locking. You can feather to allow the tank air out.

Indeed at first thought that regarding the miss fuelling flap hasn’t been reset correctly , wonder if the vent is blocked

what year is ur L322 plse , also wonder if it came with a miss fuelling reset tool

plus has it always been like this or all of a sudden and have u tried a different filling station plse

Just thought wasn’t there something about a evaporative emissions system where if the charcoal canister blocks it can s,ow down filling up due to the vent being blocked , thats of course if one is fitted in the first place

lastly have u plugged any form of diagnostics in

hope that helps

many thks and indeed sounds a royal pain, plus 1 with regards to the link provided by @biketeacherdave as that may offer a solution

also do u happen to have an endoscope plse as wonder if it’s worth putting one down the filler tube to see if there’s any obstruction

fingers crossed it’s a simple fix, plse let us know how u get on

Wonder if this would also help u, VIN Range: 7A239040-8A283210

not cheap around £150 , maybe get one off eBay etc second hand , at least if it easy to remove should be evident if it’s narrowed / collapsed

I used to have same issue when I had an L322. Turn pump nozzle upside down when filling tank helped

I've got a l322 2005 3.0 range rover vogue. And mine does the same. It never use to do it. I've been told it's the new pumps being installed are delivering fuel faster and the older RR cant cope with the speed. Hope someone has found the problem if not this and fixed it.

I doubt it's the pumps as my old P38's have no problem with full flow.

Has part of the flap dropped down the filler pipe and is blocking the entry into the tank? I bought an L322 that someone had 'removed' the misfuelling flap, turns out they'd also pushed a bit of wood in there. I took off the flexible hose between the filler pipe and the tank, sorted in minutes.
