Unable to get fuel from tank to engine bay

Hi all
I have an 02 freelander 1 S td4 with bmw m47 engine, I recently had to renew lift pump ( on ns front wing)
promptly broke off the 5 way manifold ,managed to assemble a new one ,installed new pump and runs but doesn’t self prime .
I have tried everything I know but I still can’t get fuel from tank to engine bay,I have even tried a manual prime on the fuel line to no avail ,when I look on forums Italy’s there is a fuel pump located in OSM wheel arch wrong not on mine they also say that there is a fuel pump in tank wrong not on mine
Been trying to get the fuel up for over week now running out of options .
I’m open to any ideas that may ease the situation and get missus off my back

Is there fuel in the tank, and have you got pipes fitted correctly on new pump?

Yes I have 1/4 tank pipes are connected as they were before breaking the 5 way manifold block and before I runout of fuel

just seems strange that the tank return has fuel in it more than the fuel to pump pipe

2002 02 plate would have the prime unit engine bay. 52 plate have the pump unit right rear wheel arch. If the fuel line old it maybe damaged allowing air. Are there a leaks near the tank or any along the fuel line. Do you know if the return fuel line working okay. Could disconnect return from tank and put into a jar to see.

Hi guys just fitted new 5 way manifold just cant get the low pressure pump to push fuel to high pressure pump and get the engine to run,i have let the pump run approx 10 times before attempting to start engine no joy Any ideas?
