any ideas

ive got a freelander 18 petrol ive a problem with the sterring when i steer to the left theres a creaking sound and the same sound when i steer to the right but not as bad also there is a creaking sound when i move the steering wheel around the sound seems to come from the inside of car around the ignition covers thanks

check to see if the plastic column surround is fitted properly and not catching your steering wheel, you may be able to adjust it if it is or try some silicone type dash spray around that area to eliminate it.
