I've got a gizmo thats screwed to my chassis just below the battery box. Its approx 4"x3"x1" and is wired into the main loom. It has "AVR Systems" on it and is fixed at 90 degrees to the chassis. I can't see what purpose it serves. Any Ideas???

An electical or pluming connection to it would be a good clue.

The fact he said it fell off makes me think it's surplus to requirement now, or someone has stuck a magnetic tracker or mine onto him landy!

Took the pics but forgot how to get them on here.(edited. oh no a didn't) Anyway here it is. Its goin straight to the posi terminal on the battery, with an in line fuse on it. Methinks it may be somthin to do with comms, as my 90 came from Manchester Airport.

Where does that wire lead to?

Could be a telemetered system similar to tracker.

It goes to the battery with an in line fuse on it. Its been removed now with no effect on anything. My nose was bothering me as to what it was. Voltage regulator sounds most likely but for what is anybody's guess!!!

i would of thought to do that would need to be a loop.

can you open it?

It appears to be a sealed unit. When I'm 100% sure I don't need it I'm goin to get it opened up and see whats in it. The thing thats making me curious is it just sat face onto the chassis. Think there must be some kind of magnetic flow thingy goin on.
