Haha, it was well stuck to the block, the spanners didn't give enough leverage, so off to the garden shed it was...
Came off piece by piece in the end

LOL, Can't recall seeing a sump like that, other than one many years ago that had been ripped off by a drain cover popping up and catching the front ...

Any guesses on what caused this?
