Look Khaos if you wanna run out i'll take ya gladly, no probs with that i know many lanes around the peaks but it will be done staright and legal with your grandad driving as i always send the route to the blackbrook team incase we get the locals complaining and or get into trouble / accident.

Look whilst I know people should be stopped from driving lanes illegally, I am not one of those people that does. I'll just get a map and find my own route out if nobody can help. I can't take your offer because my pride is worth more than my desire to find a good greenlane route.

I'm not saying I am going to but if I did want to do something I shouldn't then just let me take the wrap for it.

Matbe we're trying to give you the benefit of our experience so you won't get into the position of having to take the rap for anything;)

Whats pride got to do with it? if its so much of a problem then swallow it... we all have to at times ;) you'll be glad you did

When I say my I don't mean I will be driving. Is that what's causing confusion? I'm really into all this so I find sites and routes out and then tell my grandad. That's why I say my.

That's just childish and petulant:doh:

Do you realise how much time and effort MG has put into researching greenlanes and checking legal status and liasing with the relevant authorities?

I can't allow someone that I have been arguing with take me greenlaning. That would be unfair in so many ways. First off, I'm not going to say I'm wrong or sorry because I'm not, I didn't do anything.
Secondly, I very much doubt he is going to be willing to take me anywhere

So why ask in the first place seems to me youve something to hide, no bother the offer is always there for ya, I thought youd like the run out being as your so enthusiastic, look just take on board whats being said i dont have a problem with you its just the whole driving without a license thing, if you change your mind then let me know and if you find a route and want it checking no worries the blackbrook guys will check it for ya like they do on mine.

ive just done a run a few weeks ago and if you look over the pics im sure youd find those lanes interesting, i live about 20 mins away from the start of two days hard laning so if you ever wanted to go then just gimmie a shout i have no issuses taking anyone at weekends.
dont cut off your nose to spite your face kiddo

I would love a run out and I am very enthusiastic. The problem is that I feel it's wrong to expect that from you after arguing with you. I don't think I'd do that for someone in the same situation so I don't think it's fair that I take the offer. I'd appreciate if you didn't bring up the license thing on every thread. Know that every question I ask is intended to be fully legal. For example if I ask for a good lane, I am simply asking, nothing sinister involved at all.

As gratch says i speak my mind but i will always help someone out, just keep things legal and theres no issues is there, we'll bump into each other at some point anyway so fook it whats the problem, if your grandad is driving then fine problem solved.

People dont just give lane info though, so i think you might find that difficult as people do lots of work finding lane info and then only tend to pass them on to people they trust will not abuse them.

Do you mean that I should find my own routes rather than ask people? I do want to go but I still feel guilty for taking up the offer. Obviously this all depends on whether my grandad is happy with it and he will be asleep now so I can't give a definite answer. Do you have a cb radio?

i think you have taken all this out of all proportion as some people including myself have obviously misunderstood your intentions.
Greenlaning is a great past time that is under threat because of missuse mainly by illegal use. you must understand that the antis will take no notice when anyone driving a landy pulls over and stops to let them pass or does good by helping with the up keep of lanes as many of the people on here do, but will be quick to take note of any wrong doing, deliberate or not and use it against all of us.
I notice you seemed more favourable of some advice from somone who has no regard for any of the codes we all follow when greenlaning and is among the small minority of people ruining it for all of us.
You are in the right place to persue your obvious passion of landys but use common sense in the advise you use.
MG is not trying to hinder you and has offered help in finding lanes for you and is some one you will soon find a very usefull and helfull so long as you do things right. We all have the same interests in common.

Think it over and yes i do have a cb,as for lanes then everyone has there own way of finding them i only give out mine to people i trust will not abuse them as many of them are checked on a regular basis but get on some runs with your grandad and then you'll learn the routes like i had too and many others before me.

If you decide you wanna go then let me know, just keep it legal for the future generation of laners and you wont go far wrong.

I know the issues about green lanes mate and I know why everyone is so protective of them. Although I'm fairly new to driving off road compared to everyone else, I have been reading books and magazines about land rovers and green lanes and anything else to do with that sort of thing. So I know what I can and can't do and I wouldn't do anything I shouldn't. I only drive at sites and I ring first and say how old I am to make sure they know. I don't hide anything.
