I hope you get to the bottom of this and please let us know the outcome as I am sure there are many of us suffering similar symptoms to a greater or lesser degree. I am 51 yrs old and get serious pains in my legs/hips and often get pins n needles in my hands when driving or using the computer. I have spina bifida occultii which is basically trapped nerves in the lower few rungs of my spine. I can walk, run etc normally but I suffer for it. I also suffer pains if i dont exercise. It can also affect your digestive system. Good luck.

Sounds Painful.

Can go weeks or months and suddenly it happens again, like a lactic acid build up type situation.

Appointment is 13th, so I have a rough draft of questions for them, more not knowing that bugs me.:violin:

Is it possible you might have had a tick bite? Ever had the classic bullseye bite marks?

read up on Lymes disease. The symptoms can vary so much but explain lot of these fatigue and joint pain type illnesses. NHS useless for Lymes- their test gives too many false positives and negatives. There's a clinic in Berkshire IIRC that does the American test which is far more reliable.

Psoriasis Help Organisation - Index lots of info here for psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis sufferers, have them both myself, not much fun, I'm getting some relief taking pretty high doses of vitamin D3, the most effective "treatment" I've had was a week in the south of france 2 summers ago, the thing you mentioned about not being able to hold a console controller sounds very familiar, just holding a book can be agony sometimes.

Have you had burning sensation/numbness in joints hands, watering eyes and extreme pain walking and trouble getting up after kneeling down?

Seem to get headaches lasting days and tiredness when it flairs ups-similar to sleep deprivation symptoms.

I got offered a blue badge by doctor years back-but decided it would be taking the ****.

Also it is like it goes into remission and suddenly flairs back up! -three weeks in south of France had no effect on it for me.

when you start reading about psoriasis and the related arthritis, you will find that no 2 cases are the same some treatments work great for some and not at all for others, you may find something that seems to work, then when it flares up again the same treatment doesn't work. I don't get any burning sensations, but do strugle to get up off the floor sometimes, and on the odd occasion that i do do a hard days graft i can suffer for days or even weeks after, the job i have now isn't that physical luckily, but we do have some jobs that involve heavy lifting ( 5 inch diameter cables, batteries that weigh 2/3 tonne each which have to be slid into place on greasy boards etc) the last time i was involved in loading the battery ( onto a submarine ) it took 3/4 weeks to recover, at the moment its bearable, I have even started climbing again, just have to remember not to overdo it, the psoriasis help link i posted has lots of good advice and support from other sufferers, it is worth having a look at

Update

After one cancelled appointment I went today.

It turns out the consultant believes misdiagnosis  so that's 6 years wasted:eek:

Told that they don't know what it is, could be related to my Wheat intolerance, food allegy, but has ME traits as well.

So booked in for Dietician to see if there is anything that could be a link and repeat appointment .

Some Celebrex tablets and told not to drive for 12 hours after first dose to see what happens:rolleyes:

Feel positive about it, consultant said they tend to pidgin hole people and will discuss with other consultants to see where to go with it next.

All I'm looking for is an accurate diagnosis, as flair ups severely restrict mobility.
(jump around like anything one day-trouble getting down stairs the next)

Today I felt that the doctor wanted to get it sorted and wasn't just going through motions 45 min consultation and promise of actually trying to find root cause.

Thanks for peoples support, hopefully they will sort it sooner rather than later:)

feckin hypo! sponging bastid - and after all you've said about the fookin state yer sponging off!

IT'S IN YER FOOKIN HEAD - ALONG WITH EVERY FOOKING THING ELSE yer twit!

Snigger, no If it was something as simple as a vitamin or something oddie I'd be pleased, really I would.
Seeing as I just want it sorted and have been offered a Blue badge which I refused-it would be taking the **** in my opinion.

It is very much not in my mind and to be limited doing things sometimes is frustrating to say the least when you want to do them.

just a few thouhts to ponder
consultant aint got a clue..... but try a few pills see what happens.... first thing id do is google for their side effects
are you sure your reacting to wheat? generally they test using a sample and observe the reaction.....but what sample.... ive known a bit of supermarket white loaf being used .... client reacts... ergo alergic to wheat....what about the armful of other ingredients that got chucked in the loaf..... or the pesticides the wheat was sprayed with ... or the chlorine bleach used to whiten the flour...... only a test using organic wholemeal flour can be accurate...
similar i was told i was allergic to tomatoes.... repeated the test with one of the hundreds of home grown ones i eat and was fine.

does food allergy even occur? consider the donkey (or was it a camel) load the donkey with a few , bricks, then the bags of cement then a bit of straw on top ,the overloaded donkey collapses... ergo donkey is allergic to straw, without the straw he would have coped with the rest.... but now hes collapsed you might have to take off the bricks or even unload completely before he will recover and get up..... or kick it( ie give it a few pills) which may have the side effect of breaking its leg.....
which leads on to chemical overload.... you got up this morning.... hopped in the shower... all those shampoos, body washes , deoderants , toothpastes , hairspray etc leach chemicals into the skin... into the air you breath.... use any aerosol cal and youre breathing it in.... then theres the chlorine in the water....
then you had breakfast.... anything low fat theyve removed the natural fats and sustituted manufactured oils and fats.... sugar has been removed.... artificial sweeteners like aspartamine (in nearly every fizzy soft drink) are known to be brain poisons....

the short answere is theres a whole host of conditions that the docs havnt got a clue on caused by the chemical overload we are subjected to..... read the packets of the stuff your eating , drinking or slapping on your skin then google the side effects of some of the chemicals youll wonder why their allowed to use some of them, then find alternatives without the chemicals....drink pleanty of water to help flush things through...

it takes a bit of time to get things sorted but if you can drastically cut the chemicals youre takin in the body will cleanse itself. and start to function properly.... it may take 6 months before you see the results but its worked for me and others.

.anyone who wants to go into this in more detail feel free to send me a pm

what you suffer sounds almost exactly like what my mate has ,fibro myalgia, not sure of the spelling but google it mate ,it took consultants nearly 2 years to diagnose him then they gave him some steroid based medication to ease the symptoms ,pins and needles ,breathing trouble, random temperature differences in limbs, arthritic type pains in joints and occasional lethargy .hes now on permanent disability.hope this helps bud.

Ricc
Simple answer is they tested for celiac and it repeatedly came back negative, moderate bread, pasta, sausage rolls etc with other things seem okay to a degree-keeping an open mind to it and prepared to investigate or try anything-keeping a food diary seems a plan.
Lots of wheat based products- dose of the ****s etc

Not sure I like the sound of that- thought it was just a soft tissue problem, but will read more on it see what it is all about

not sure mate but worth a butchers.

I'll ask when I go next, Some days it's like being over tired and just knackered-other times go weeks without issues.

After putting up with this in varying degrees for years-prepared to consider anything:D
